About the report
Gartner published the report on 28 October 2026. The market definition in the report reads:
“Gartner defines integrated supply chain AI agents as autonomous or semiautonomous software embedded in broader vendor solutions that perceives, decides, and acts across workflows alongside humans. Ranging from advisory tools and simple orchestration to expert agents and autonomous ecosystems, they progress from rule-based guidance to multistep reasoning and domain specialization, improving decision quality while reducing human intervention and enhancing service, cost to serve, and resilience.”

Our view
The supply chain agents worth trusting are the ones that reason over real math.
We believe supply chain AI will be judged by one thing: whether the decisions get better. Inventory, capacity, cost and service pull against each other, under limits that do not bend: plant capacity, lead times, shelf life, budgets. A language model can describe that tradeoff. Optimization and simulation can solve it.
Fortune 500 brands run supply chain decisions on Lyric Studio, from network design and sourcing to supply and production planning, inventory, transportation and order promising. Every one of those decisions runs on the math: optimization, simulation and forecasting.
“Supply chain problem solving requires reasoning, because somebody after you is going to ask, why are you doing this?” says Ganesh Ramakrishna, our founder and CEO. “The equation now is the answer, plus the reasoning, plus judgment. We do the math to get to the right number and the math to prove to the planner that the number is right, and agents act as the reasoning engine that helps planners understand the results. The judgment layer still stays with people. It is not outsourced to machines. That is the platform we are building.”
