Lyric has been included as an Example Vendor in the Gartner Market Overview for Analytics and Decision Making Platforms for Supply Chain. In our view, the report arrives at a moment many supply chain teams will recognize. They can already see what happened. What they want now is help deciding what to do next, and a reliable way to carry that decision into action.

Analytics is moving closer to the decision

Gartner published its Market Overview for Analytics and Decision Making Platforms for Supply Chain on 14 September 2026. The market definition in the report reads:

"Gartner defines supply chain analytics and decision-making (ADM) platforms as essential capabilities that drive effective decision making across all time horizons. The platforms deliver insights, predictions and suggestions to augment and even automate decision making. When combined with composite Al, the platforms deliver increased value to cross-functional decision-making use cases. The platforms typically offer a development environment for organizations to build custom solutions and might also offer preconfigured, use-case-specific applications."

‍
In our view, this matters because many supply chain teams already have good visibility. Years of investment in data platforms, planning systems and business intelligence gave them a clear picture of the business. The opportunity now is the step after it: weighing the options against the constraints that actually apply, choosing one, and carrying it into the systems where the work gets done.

Every decision is a tradeoff

We are glad to be included in this Market Overview. In our view it reflects the work our customers are doing rather than anything we have said about ourselves.

Our view is that the hardest part of a supply chain decision is often not the data. It is that the options compete. More inventory protects service and ties up cash. Faster freight protects a delivery date and adds cost. Moving volume to another plant saves money in one region and adds risk in another. Teams decide well when they can see those tradeoffs side by side, before they commit.

We believe that is where analytics and decision making belong together. Forecasting shows what is likely to happen. Optimization and simulation show what each option would cost and what it would protect, under the constraints the business actually runs on. When both work from the same data, the tradeoffs are visible before a team commits.

We also believe the best decisions combine the math with human judgment, and that the people who own a decision should stay in charge of it.

What this looks like in Lyric Studio

Options, side by side.
With Auto Scenarios, a team defines the changes that set each scenario apart from the base model, and Lyric Studio generates and solves them in a single run, with the results in one view. In our view, a decision is only as good as the options that were considered.

Math-first.
Decisions come from optimization and simulation, with machine learning for forecasting. We believe no single technique answers every supply chain question.

One definition of the business.
In the Semantic Model, entities, attributes, measures and relationships are defined once, and every widget, filter and application reads from the same model. In our view, this is what keeps each team from deciding against its own version of the truth.

From decision to action.
Decisions reach the people who act on them through applications built in Lyric Studio, and the systems that carry them out through APls, alongside the systems of record teams already run. We believe a decision creates value only when it reaches the people and systems that carry it out.

We are grateful to our customers, partners and team. In our view the value of analytics in supply chain will be measured by the decisions it helps teams make and carry through. That is the problem we come to work on.
