Supply Chain Orchestration is becoming a defined market

Gartner published its Market Overview for Supply Chain Orchestration Platforms on 16 July 2026. The report describes what AI-native platforms in this market are built to do:

In our view, the significance is not that supply chain teams need another category of software. Most have already invested in planning, execution, integration and analytics, and that investment built the data foundation orchestration depends on. The next step is coordination. Orchestration is the layer where a decision is shaped, tested against tradeoffs, and carried into operations, sitting above the systems teams already run.

The step from insight to decision

We are glad to be included in this Market Overview. In our view it reflects the work our customers are doing rather than anything we have said about ourselves.

Our view is that the last decade of supply chain technology did something genuinely hard. It made operations legible. Dashboards improved, alerts became timely, and visibility is now a solved problem in many large enterprises. The opportunity in front of the industry is the step that follows, turning that visibility into a decision quickly and consistently.

We believe orchestration is where that step happens, and that it works best when the platform can hold the real constraints of the business at once. Cost, service, capacity, shelf life, labor, carbon. Those tradeoffs are the substance of the decision.
